Emig family NOW … 31 January ’24

1/12th of ’24 was a rocket, Dan!
“Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.”    Psalms 144:4 ESV

Nora and I are so grateful for you and this great start into 2024.  With so many ‘sectors’ of life juggled, we sense the Lord is qualifying each one, helping us select and focus better in those areas He desires us to vest more in, allowing His grace to overflow into others.  We’re always looking to God for that overflow of His life into ours and therefore into others …

“Hybrid” is a word I’ve used lately regarding focus and work.  Maybe it’s my age and stage in life, yet I find myself available and working about half these waking hours in Kingdom sustainable development which has been such a large part of our latest 13 years of ministry.  The other half is being pulled into mentoring and helping those in need of “walk besides” in their spiritual journeys, internationally and domestically.  On a given day, I can be on ZOOM calls with Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, other countries, USA, discussing ministry needs and how we can help … and the next hour I’m facilitating a men’s group here in Colorado, or having another ZOOM and/or meal together, mentoring and creating in-Christ paths and conversations for the men to journey into in their personal lives of work and family.  Honestly, so far, I am loving this!  And it’s quickly getting much busier, with more offerings of both types of pulls on the calendar each day.

Example …
Prayer, your prayer, is invited into my time this Friday, February 2nd at 6:30 am, leading men into a 90-minute presentation-discussion of “redemption, as it relates to my last 2.5 years” through the dissected aorta.  I don’t know these 30-45 men, so will be my first time presenting the story to unknown faces.  Pray “I” don’t say anything … but, that He “the Holy Spirit” speaks solely via this small man-Dan!  🙂

Pray also, please, for my/our dear Nora, my precious bride.  This beginning semester of teaching has been extremely difficult on so many levels of her life.

We are very much looking forward to sharing with you, many more specifics of life and ministry in 2024!  Stay tuned as our precious Lord opens these doors into His “Kingdom come” ventures among us!  p.s. … so grateful for this my first time on the slopes since the aortic dissection, with Eliana and a couple of guys from my men’s group!
❤️  So grateful for your life into ours, Dan!  ❤️
”I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.“         Philippians 1:3-5 ESV

Pausings Lastly Of ’23 And Peerings Of Relatings And Relationships Into 2024 …

Nora and I are so looking forward to this deeper journey with you, in-Him(Christ) in this gift of a New Year!

At our stage of life, we are exhausted of “resolutions” 🤔😊 … and breathe much deeper of life as “Way”, “Truth”, and “Life”, … all of which are truly Him, Christ the LORD.  John 14:5   Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

We are looking into 2024 with desires of our cup being filled of the Lord, and any resulting fruit of an overflow will be just that, a simple overflow of Him into the lives of others … regardless of if it’s helping impoverished villages/refugees into freedom, and/or helping others individually and collectively in their deep journey in knowing Christ intimately more and more.

If you have prayed, and the Lord is leading you clearly, we would be extremely privileged to have you join us in all this! 🥰  Joining us on this journey is not and never “about” “money”.  May the LORD forbid such a thing.  In fact, it is not “about” anything.  Rather, it is a journey of entrance and invitation … to a relating well, an appropriateness in relating and relationship for each person.  For some it is primarily a journey of prayer, or a text, or phone call, eMail, note, etc., even dare we say, a FB conversation, and the like.  Others might also like to give and relate financially.  Nora and I have received a good number of texts and phone calls from others, in this Christmas EOY times.  Each has been so very good!  😊

This EOY is simply a jog-reminder that we all (you and I) need all the above.  And if giving financially is what you’d like, what Spirit is prompting, then so be that well, as well also.

If in your relating promptings and styles, you would like to be a part of our EOY “pull” into 2024, financially … we’d like to make this simply a gentle reminder and easy path.  Clicking on the following link is best.  If you’d like any other method, please contact us directly.

Nora and I are so very thankful for your relating to us in every and all ways!!!  If anything, we want 2024 to be a year of relating more into your journey and ours!  Grateful and abundant love … Dan and Nora

What a Joyful Christmas to you and yours !

What a great Christmas gift; you and I participating in this life of X(person) (in a very closed country), as he tangibly and in presence, shares the love of Christ, in word and deed!
Nora and I are so grateful to have you in our lives, sharing Christ together in all our contexts of life!  Hear these words of X. a man and his family, we support via our work from here to there, as we listen to his struggles yet deep joys in this also his Christmas season

…
I had a plan to go to H. Province in the west of the country to meet the people affected by the recent earthquakes and also meet the people recently deported from P. and I.(countries)
Got to H., and went to K.S. village affected by earthquakes.
I saw people live in the tents outside almost all of the muddy houses are demolished.
Quotes from another X. helped …
“It was around 11.30am when something like a strong wind came and the ground shook, collapsing the whole village. Only a few people survived.”
“I was working outside that morning and had gone home to have lunch with my mother and four sisters. Just as I was about to leave, the earthquake struck. I wanted to run outside but was trapped when the wall fell on me. My sisters heard my voice and as they were also trying to run the roof fell on them.”
“I shouted and people came and pulled me out. I lost consciousness and when I woke up, I was at the hospital with a bandage on my hand and an IV line running into my arm. That’s when I realized what had happened. I still hear the tremors in my head.”
——————
We had food and three tents distributed for those who have not.
After the distribution the villagers asked us to have tea inside the tent, I heard shocking stories the same above from other men.
Found the opportunity to share the good news with the villagers and prayed for them, they were so much grateful from our sympathy for them.
In H. city I met tens of deportees mostly young people, they were deported from I. and P., had nothing to eat or changes of clothes to wear.
Just front of the main bus terminal I met 30 years old man walking, he had no money even to go to his home, desperately asking people for to help him.
He was telling me stories how the I. police caught him and kicked him out of the country, he used to work on a cow farm, and the police didn’t let him take his clothes.
Just gave him some money so that he can get to his home, he was so excited hugged me and tears were running from his eyes. The good news I shared with him and other deportees in H. and I am grateful to have the good news in me to share with them.
Praying that many others can receive the word in H. and that the good news can be planted in K.S.
In close, future I planned to celebrate the birth of our Jesus with those in B.
So it is time to say Thank you again for your prayers and help, have a very merry Christmas and blessed new year.
X.

A full and Joyful Christmas to you!

Loving you and joyful in this precious journey of faith with us and those so many like X.!
