New territory always excites me in GHNI endeavors. The Balkans of Serbia and Albania seem far removed from other impoverished areas GHNI works in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Yet we all must come to the realization that the same extreme poverty exists in large swaths of Europe equally. It especially exists anywhere there is isolation and abandonment. GHNI is committed to helping the poorest of the poor, regardless of geographics.

Join with us financially, as we commit to these new projects in Serbia and Albania Roma(gypsy) villages. 4 new Project Proposal are being edited and submitted as I write this. I am personally committed to making the Balkans a very different place within 3-5 years, as we work together with key partners there.

Total Families Helped: 100
(Location: Gaibandha: 50, Sathkhira : 50)
By good grace we were able to distribute your kind GHNI gift and your support to flood effective peoples. Though there was big challenge to meet demand of effective community like: we are giving 100 families where more than 500 candidates received assistance. Our team really worked hard to do this hard implementation. They identify most significant candidates and give slip to collect goods from nearby safe place. Grateful we were able to help 100 families and giving 300 individuals flood informations.
This works opened door to help more later. Every place I clearly explain that this gift coming from our friends GHNI who love them and that love send this help.
I thankful in Gaibandha there is no long term helping and to start follow-up and assistance/TCD,

As I find out those families lost their crops so when water will come down they start cultivation again and they need future seed, fertilizer and awareness program.

Nepal – DR … to TCD !

GHNI-Nepal is wholly committed to TCD-Transformational Community Development. Disaster Relief, in the mean time, has consumed all our energies and resources to date since the earthquakes. We are still in the throws of disaster relief right now.

The majority of our income-donations for Nepal continues to be requested and focused on DR. Vast numbers of villages are still in need of DR help from so many sources, and we are helping in every conceivable way we can in GHNI.

Winter is coming quick, and shelter from the elements is essential to all remote villages. So we continue disaster relief.

Earthquake disaster relief continues via GHNI …
Short Term Team – STT/GHNI was on the ground last week in Nepal, as they helped in relieving “some” of the devastation encountered by villagers and in Kathmandu.

Amazing hospitality never ceases to amaze our team, as even now living in temporary shelters made of sticks, roof tins, tarps, etc., the locals in one tiny village we helped, insisted on feeding us the best of their best. “Humbled”, is a word that couldn’t come close to how we felt. These people are amazing in how they are committed to re-establishing life, regardless of resources. We were there simply to provide such.

Provisions of roofing tin(s), tarps, rice and other food essentials were distributed by our team in both remote village locations, as well as in Kathmandu.

Purchasing and utilizing “local resources” is a foundational GHNI concept. GHNI desires, as much as possible, to support and enhance the local economies, purchasing from these sources when possible, even in disaster relief times such as this.
