Joy-filled Christmas To You and Yours … ’25 Daniel and Nora

Dear one  …

Nora and I have hearts full, as we embrace this special season of thanks in our Lord’s incarnation among us and in our personal lives, our very being!!!

And our hearts are full in how we are so privileged to be and do this journey with you!!!

What precious gifts GOD bestows into our lives in so many ways and in such abundance!

Nora and I pray and hope for you a most Joyful Christmas with family and friends!

This year, our hearts are full in “treasured” and “pondered“.

Luke 2:18-19
“and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.  But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them (all) in her heart.”

Joy-filled Christmas in our love to you … ❤️

Giving Thanks In This Thanksgiving ! Dan & Nora ’25

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Give thanks to the Lord of Lords, for his steadfast love endures forever;”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭136‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬  ❤️

Dearest CoJourneyer …

Grateful beyond measure to be co-journeying with you, Nora and I greet you in this joyful Thanksgiving Season!
Our hearts are full, as we have so much to give thanks for, in our journey in-Christ.

As we all prepare and live into this last month of 2025/December, we trust GOD’s Presence in our lives, “Further up and further in.” as C.S. Lewis might say, into this all-surpassing love and life Christ bestows into us and allows us to live in-Him.

His light into our hearts … that same light into others in our lives.

89 years young, Nora and I, and then my brother’s(David) family, were able to get our dear Mom all packed up and moved to Arkansas.  There, she will live with David and Kelley, as she continues her journey in these latter years.  We are trusting this is the best-of-the-best decisions and moves for her, and thus far, that has proven true.  It was a difficult transition, with so many friends to say “good-bye” to, yet we are grateful for those years of excellent health for her.

Though a crazy-busy time there packing her up, I/we did manage to break away and get some breakfast with some history-making friends from the University of Georgia days, and even some soul-food breakfast at the famous H&H Restaurant in Macon!  Thanks, Willie/”Buster”, Rhonda (Willie’s wife) and Jim, for making the time for a quick meal together!  Additionally, I was able to give a short ‘spiel’ to awesome men at Allen’s Tree Service / Caulion Allen company, in Warner Robins (Thanks, Caulion!!!) .  Our only regret is simply not having the time to get to the Athens/Watkinsville, GA area to see those we love.

Do join us and all others in giving thanks in all the Lord’s provisions, moment-by-moment … NOW-by-NOW!

“Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭63‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

CoJourneys With You …

Dearest CoJourneyer …

“CoJourneyer” is appropriate, as Nora and I think of you in our hearts!  You have chosen, in love, to co-journey in our lives.

We have chosen, in love, to cojourney in the lives of you and others.

Our longest team trip ever (3 weeks) is now back, and they are excited to tell anyone who will listen about their time and relationships.  I have already heard two great presentations from different team members who chose to share in groups.  A theme highlight from the trip was how, though each experienced the regions differently, all realized that those they related to were living a faithful life under extremely difficult situations. Noted especially were those who must now leave a country as refugees and move back to their home country; many to dire locations of currently active actions against who they are as a people.

Volumes could be written and related to you of all the experiences of their time in various regions.

David’s (Dan’s brother) health …
Thanks to all who have been praying for David’s aortic dissection surgery and recovery!  He was discharged from a Houston, Texas hospital that specialized in such surgeries, and is recovering very well back home in Rogers, Arkansas.  We rejoice that he has bounced back so well, yet know there is still a long road ahead for him.  Additionally, there is still a need for prayer, as some of the connective tissues are not responding fully, and he might have to be on antibiotics for an extended period of 1-2 years, plus.

Loved our pop-in lunch time with Bill and Susan Anderson recently, as they came to Colorado on their multi-National Park trip.

 Dan,
Nora and I are so grateful for you, a true cojourneyer with us!

Dearest one …

It was a true joy to launch this most recent team, heading to I/K, L, and J.  You may be wondering if I miss these trips, as I traveled extensively for almost 15 years.  Of course I do!  Yet I have great peace and contentment concerning staying back and supporting them from start to finish.  With all that is going on ‘there’ and ‘here’, I feel grace’d upon that I am still able to pour my life into both!!!

This team is already having a remarkable journey, in how they have been able to:
*   serve gifts to the refugees brought from the USA in medical supplies, clothing, etc.
* hold a ‘time of refreshing’ conference
* meet with key leaders to encourage and bolster them
* meet with key diplomatic leaders to further expand our influence in the region
* meet with key Syrian refugees and leaders who are serving needs in their home country of Syria
* start and further lifetime relationships that will extend exponentially via ZOOM and other communication venues
* distribute wheelchairs via the Lebanese military, due to ‘special’ connections
* have fun and eat too much of that mouth-watering Lebanese food !!!  🙂

Nora’s health
Several months ago, we communicated we were concerned after Nora had an MRI of her brain.  She has experienced chronic fatigue, difficulty remembering appointments, and where she puts things, etc..  Since then, we have pursued more medical opinions (Thank you, Chip Pettigrew … and others!!!) and evaluations. Last week, she was finally able to get in for an extensive neurological-psychological evaluation that lasted 4+ hours.  She left exhausted!  More pursuits of how to best proceed are ahead, as both the MRI and N-P have indicated measures of memory decrease.  And while we are not consumed in concern now, we are seeing ‘something’ there, and will take all actions for preventing further memory loss, and possibly even reversals.    At present, she has chosen not to pursue any vocational activity, as we evaluate what lies ahead for her and us as a family.

Dan’s health
Besides being impatient with my age and recovery speed, I am doing fine, after my surgery bout in July.  I joke that I simply cannot bounce back like I did when I was 61!  LOL !  I ain’t no young’n anymore.  🙂

Dan,
Nora and I are so grateful for you and your continued choice to be with us on this journey!
